Press Release
January 26, 2024
Ryan Covert announces his candidacy for PA State Representative in the 11th District. He will bring his America First principals, which include freedom, family and faith, and his practical real life experience as a small business owner to the position. Ryan is Pro-Life and is a strong supporter of our 2nd Amendment rights.
Ryan is the son of a steelworker and a lifelong resident of the 11th District. As a small business owner and a farmer he understands how to create jobs and add value to the community. He also uplifts the community as a volunteer by coaching and mentoring at risk youth. He succeeds in all these things with his “never give up” attitude. He will bring that same attitude to our state legislature.
Ryan is challenging longtime incumbent Marci Mustello for the Republican nomination. This is a rematch of the 2020 election where Ryan won the vote in 21 of the 31 voting precincts in District 11 on election day and was declared the winner that night. But, after mail in ballots were counted late night Ryan’s lead disappeared. Mail-in-Marci’s vote for Act 77 in October of 2019, before the pandemic, brought no excuse mail-in-voting to Pennsylvania and created problems with ensuring elections were secure.
As your next PA State Representative Ryan will be a voice for conservative issues like fiscal responsibility at the state and local level for government, reducing government involvement in our local businesses, supporting parents and children in their drive for better education outcomes through parental involvement, and promoting the efforts of the Pro-Life voters.
Ryan will focus first on the needs of his constituents here in District 11. He will never sell you out to the state government or any other organization or business. Right now, a look into Marci’s voting record reveals that over 50% of the time she fails to vote the same way as our other conservative elected leaders whose districts include Butler County. You need someone who will vote for your interests.
Ryan will bring his conservative values and his business expertise to the position of State Representative.
“We have too many people in government, like my opponent Marci Mustello, who have worked inside of government for too long and so do not understand the real world challenges of creating jobs in their communities and paying bills with something other than your tax dollars. I will change that when you elect me as State Representative for the 11th District.” – Ryan Covert
